As you meander along the village of Cheticamp and it's many fishing wharves, one may experience the local fishermen unloading their daily catch of lobster, snowcrab & other species.

At Quai Mathieu,on the boardwalk, you will also come across the "Love Boats". Weather permitting, these 2 vessels offer whale & nature cruises from this departure point.

Leaving Cheticamp Harbour on one of the Love Boats, the air will be filled with excitement and anticipation of seeing whales. Pilot whales, fins, minkes, humpbacks are common sightings.( average sighting - 95% since 1994). Eagles, moose & other wildlife are regularly seen along the scenic coastline of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park.
